This short film was created as a prequel to The Painter, to explore more of Kris' character leading into that film. Josh Cable wrote and directed, Josephine Schmidt-Krayer operated cameras, and Caleb Stoltenberg ran audio.

The film stars Spicer Wadman, reprising his role as Kris Vail, and introduces Connor Gibson as his friend.
